Löwen River Rewilding
A private, non-profit initiative on a mission to bring back the wild beauty of Southern Namibia by focusing on the soil, vegetation and wildlife.

Bringing back the wild beauty of Southern Namibia
Scarce rainfall and overgrazing from sheep and goats have depleted the land's vegetation over the last 30 years. Our goal is to revitalize Nature's canvas by restoring vegetation and reintroducing native wildlife – from kudus, zebras, oryx, springboks, to birds and insects!

Our team
We're passionate about restoring health and balance to the land. We join forces with subject-matter experts in Science, Conservation and Land Management combined with a network of nature lovers and sponsors in Namibia and overseas.
Our approach
Due to climate change and a decrease in rainfall, we use underground water to support the growth of saplings and green shoots. With targeted veld restoration, we'll breathe new life into the soil and revitalize vegetation.

Our local presence
We collaborate with local hands to maintain boreholes, manage water, replant vegetation, and monitor the wildlife on-site.
